I headed out to Bartlett Lake a couple Friday’s ago with an unbiased and very dedicated bass fisherman, who happens to like 5150 Plastics. And frankly, just one hell of a nice guy. Fred Bishop is the epitome of what I call an outdoorsman. He’s incredibly hard-working, family-oriented and is passionate about being outside in almost any capacity. Regardless if that’s chasing a big elk up north with his son, or sporting a fly rod and waders, trying to land a nice rainbow, I mean, the man even likes to golf. But Fred spends the majority of his time outside on the desert lakes chasing big bass and has found a ton of success doing so. I can’t say there’s been a time I’ve been on Fred’s boat and not had fun or landed fish. We headed out to Bartlett Lake a couple of Fridays ago, had a great time and did everything we set out to do.
Fred is as humble of a guy as you will ever meet. I’ve been on his boat as we pulled into the dock and listened to the man tell another guy exactly what we were using, exactly where we were fishing, and witnessed as someone genuinely wanted someone else to do good. Those type of folks will make everyone else around them, better. This trip to Bartlett Lake, was a “work” trip as there was an objective, but it’s never “work” on a boat, fishing.. We had so much fun!
We landed some fish, got some awesome footage and images, had some laughs and an overall outstanding day! I cannot wait to do it again. I’d like to thank Mr. Bishop and 5150 Plastics for all the support.
